After your pet's tumor is removed, you will be referred to our preferred veterinary oncology practitioner for treatment options. If a cancer vaccine could be made from your pet's tumor, you will have 30 days to decide if the vaccine will be part of your pet's therapeutic plan. Cancer vaccines can be used to improve quality of life without any chemotherapy or radiation treatment, but use of the cancer vaccine does NOT prevent these standard treatments. We work closely with the Veterinary Cancer Care center to provide as many treatments in our clinic as possible, but we are not cancer specialists.
