Noah's Ark is more than just a primary care pet hospital. We're a progressive animal health advocate and compassionate champions of preventative pet care. Our local knowledge and gentle expertise changes pet's lives.
Dr. Pearson, known as 'Doc' to his clients & staff, has been a veterinarian for over 20 years.
Although he graduated from Keyes High School in the Oklahoma Panhandle, Doc has lived most of his life here in the Amarillo area. His college days were spent in Utah and College Station Texas, interrupted only by the amazing two years he spent in South America on a mission for his church.
Doc knew by age 14 that he wanted to be a veterinarian and so it was no surprise when he set his sights for vet school and graduated from Texas A & M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993.
While Doc started as a veterinarian for the mixed animal practice, he prefers focusing on providing total veterinary care for dogs, cats, birds, pocket pets, reptiles and small exotics.
Doc loves all aspects of veterinary care, but he is known for his expertise in orthopedic surgery and pet dentistry.
As the premier veterinary dentist in the area, he enjoys performing root canals, vital pulpectomies, surgical extractions and even orthodontics.
When not piloting the Ark with his wife, Dr. Tiffany Olsen, Doc enjoys serious bicycling (road/mountain) and early morning spinning at the gym. It’s nothing for him to make a day out of biking up and down the area’s canyons or doing a sweet and easy 20-30 miles on the road.
Doc is also fascinated by the science of astronomy and has built his own telescope from the bottom up. It has a mirror of 12 1/2 inches that he polished by hand! He successfully completed the building of his son’s telescope which has a 6 inch mirror. He also currently enjoys target shooting and reloading.
Doc is currently the Elders Quorum President of the Palo Duro Ward, The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints.
Dr. Tiffany Olsen has partnered with her husband, Doc Pearson, on everything for the past several decades. As Practice Manager, she also ensures Noah's Ark steers straight.
Madi Sowers can't remember a time when she didn't have dogs. From the 2nd grade, she knew she wanted to work with animals. She joined Noah's Ark fresh out of high school, and has been a Veterinary Technician for three years.
Jency Brush grew up in the country catching wild animals and has always loved pets. As a Veterinary Technician, she loves using education to help people become happy and responsible pet owners.
"I brought my heeler in because she had broken her leg and Dr. Pearson and his staff were amazing.
Luckily Dr. Pearson specializes in orthopedics and performed emergency surgery that day. Even with all the questions and phone calls I made to the office afterwards the entire staff was very patient with me.
Dolly is healing nicely!! Thank you Dr Pearson and EVERYONE at Noah's Ark Pet Hospital. You gave me back my best friend and protector❤"
